Very imposing, powerful nose. After some minutes with air the oak starts to dominate even more, with hints of burnt wood, butter and popcorn. Very creamy palate with a touch of popcorn. Could be suffering from the initial phases of premox and thus could have been very enjoyable powerhouse a couple of years ago. A favorite white of the tasting for many, but lacking too much in freshness to be enjoyable for me. I'm not averse to oxidized notes, but I'm not fond of this much oak and this little acidity. If you're holding bottles, I recommend opening them in the near future in order to avoid prematurely oxidized Burgs. At 32€, I would not buy.
