Thursday, July 16, 2015 - Initially pretty shy on the nose, but after an hour or so this exhibited lovely brambly red fruit, modest spice and touch of earth on the nose. This carried through to the pure, clean, sweet and ripe fruit driven palate. There is excellent fruit here that is underpinned by a structure that is quite evident every third sip or so. Also a noticeable mineral/metallic note. Some floral and black fruit notes on the finish. This is lovely but up front and sweet and just lacked a certain completeness you expect that this level. That said, it's delicious.
