Monday, October 17, 2011 - Domaine de Montille Wine Dinner (The Village Pub, Woodside, CA): Tasted alongside the 2008 Perrières. By itself, the Grèves is the more impressive wine. The Perrières comes across as too flinty and austere. However, the Perrières was a better pairing with the rabbit. The Perrières has good cherry and strawberry aromas, but is very minerally on the palate. The Grèves lacks the structure the minerality of the Perrières provides.
