Friday, February 18, 2011 - Supple and balanced, a lion tamed. Inviting deep colors, fruit forward aromas of plums, cherries, ripe strawberries, etc. with hints of game and pepper melange. Supple entry, very complex palate of fruits and suet and spice and chocolate leading to a peppery tannic finish. Sweeter and more approachable today than the Mesa Reserve, but equally outstanding.
