Saturday, September 7, 2002 - Red. A hint of age at the rim (!) Cigarbox and leather scents here. Also wet wood. A moderately sized body to this wine. A lot of finesse but a somewhat coarse and indifferent mouthfeel. I did like the sweet vanilla-like profile. But the fruit and stuffing just didn't seem to be there. What was there was admirably balanced. This was a pleasant and nice drink. Just not what it I had expected.
