Saturday, July 24, 2010 - Tested circa 55 deg F from a preservation machine. This wine was so crisp and refreshing yet not heavy, it was like a large dose of cool minerally water after a long dry run through the woods. Unlike 99% of wines I sample, this wine would be easy to lift to the lips and chug-a-lug like a beer in the Aussie Outback. Well, not really a good idea given 13.5% abv. The wine was clean, crisp, and refreshing in the true sense, with satisfying grassy, floral, mineral, and some fruit (melon, hints of tart apple, pear) in excellent balance and roughly equal proportions. Nose of green nectarine and grass. I had to buy a bottle. 100% verdejo.
