Monday, July 9, 2007 - Very nice sweet toasty oak Bordeaux nose. Suave taste, shows a lot of class with burnt oak tannins, a sweet kernel in the middle, soft fruit, and a long tannic, somewhat acidic and hot finish. Has a nice brightness and some secondary herbs. The fruit here is denser than some of the less successful 2004's I've had recently, but it shares the angular and somewhat flat feel I've found to be the drawback of most 2004's. There are elements of both 1996 and 1994 in this wine. Overall quite good if not outstanding with a promising future.
B/B+
