Monday, May 5, 2014 - How good is 2009 in bdx? Well you can over-extract and over-oak like these guys did and still make a 91 pt wine as the fruit is so strong. Very dark colour, nose of black fruit and toasty oak, a bit of VA? Plums, blackberry and blueberry on a juicy and round palate - really nice fruit. Medium finish but oaky. Overall just a pity they needed to try that hard in the cellar.
