Friday, March 1, 2013 - Inky purple in the glass. Young and primary, but wide-open and fun right now. The tastes are very black cherry, with minerally and a little char. Bright acids (suprisingly high for such a ripe vintage) and a medium bodied with good concentration. The tannins are ample, but very soft and tar-like. Pretty classic yet expressive St. Julien.
