Thursday, February 14, 2013 - Decanted for 1 hour before drinking.
Nice nose with earthy notes, ripe red cherry, floral tones & a note of leather.
On the palate good red fruit notes, fine tannins, and a savory note of leather. Good acidity balances some of the ripness of the wine.
This has the ability to age but is good now with decanting. Initially there was heat on the back end but after decanting and some time the balance increased and the alcohol receeded somewhat.
