Wednesday, May 7, 2014 - Agree with Motz on this one. Its always fun to compare with so many other reviewers. This felt disappointing to me relative to the 2009 vintage and to my expectations. Certainly a good wine when compared to all possible wines at this price point, so not a problem on the QPR level. But, not really that much of interest in the tasting. This also seemed, to me, to be very mild at this point on the tannins and acidity. I can't imagine that this will evolve much more. Relatively flat and mild taste that is pleasant, but not overly exciting. Maybe best as a food pairing wine. This didn't shift much with decanting time or over the following days.
