Nose was similar, though a bit more muted and with a tinge of alcohol that I didn't get on the palate. Everyone agreed it was a tremendous wine, and just blew the doors off the poor '06 Cakebread cab that was also opened alongside. Excellent fruit quality, soft but definitely with a good balance of acidity to keep it from any flabbiness. Just a really impressive wine, despite drinking it so early. 96-97, other reviewers are right on the money here.
