Community Tasting Note

Saturday, October 8, 2011 - Yellowish with a slight greenish tinge. Nose was a clear giveaway of what one should expect - big, generous fruits mostly tropical, and vanillin. Good round palate with decent weight to the wine. Rich but at the same time balanced. The oak was evident but in such a young wine, surprisingly integrated that it wasnt a distraction. The finish was intense with a hint of heat. This wine is plain good drinking so dont look for complexity. The Stonier Chardonnay is good but at the same price point, I find a better wine in Voyager Estate Chardonnay or if one is looking for a better specimen of white Burgundy, the Cape Mentelle!
