Saturday, September 8, 2012 - Pop and pour. Deep Purple to a slightly rust colored rim. Big Bold legs and tears on the glass. Dark fruit, chocolate, leather, blood, meat on the nose with hints of vanilla and oak and every so slight nail polish. Dark fuit, spice and wood tannins on the attack. Tight at the moment. Unresolved tannins. Very youthful and should have waited as others suggest but I must learn its youth is exactly why I opened it. Now I have something to comare in 2-5 years. Decanted for 3 hours until dinner. Perfect with foie gras, lamb and eggplant. This is a definite food wine.
