Saturday, April 16, 2011 - This bottle was opened after directly bringing it out of my wine cellar, at 56 degrees. The wine had a very heavy alcohol nose and overbearing alcohol on the palate. However, as it warmed up, the nose demonstrated a beautiful bouquet of red cherries and earth. The palate then enjoyed a lovely smooth cherry, plum, and licorice flavor. The moderately long finish was dominated by the cherry flavor, almost no tannin or oak.
