Thursday, May 8, 2014 - Burgundy visit- 4/28 and 4/29; 5/5/2014-5/14/2014: Winery visit (food and wine dinner pairing). Bright gold color. Aromas of eastern spice, slate, rose hips, orange blossom, and lime- intense and profound. Focused and deep on the palate, showing complex bright citrus fruit darkened with spice and mushroom and earthy layers. Tons of character- racy, complex, silky, bracing, luxurious and elegant. Long finish. A great wine.
