Thursday, December 30, 2010 - My first Bonny Doon sparkling and my first sparkling Riesling! Was pretty impressed on both fronts. Made using the traditional Champagne method this vintage sparkling is made with 100% riesling from the Ca' del Solo vineyard in Monterey County. Aged on lees for 30 months it shows all the characters of a great sparkling wine - subtle citrus character and bread.
