Wednesday, January 21, 2015 - Delicious bouquet. In a good place of middle-age now, with fruit and yet nice complexity of age too. Violets, stagnant water, poo, cherries, cranberries, strawberries, strawberries, strawberries, leather, sweat. Lovely taught frame, extremely stylish. A friend commented "it goes very up and down, instead of spreading side to side like most fruity wines!". The fruit is polished and slick. Oak is integrated fully. Refreshing, and versatile with food. A good long lingering finish. Haunting but largely faecal bouquet left in the glass! I liked this a very great deal. Such class for Languedoc. A bit like a mix of Burgundy and Rioja.
