2004 Château Lascombes

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Friday, March 20, 2015 - Color holding fast, still a med-dark ruby. Aromas are just as lively as the color, with an even mixture of red and black fruits against a backdrop of turned earth, dust and purple floral. Medium-bodied, with good concentration, lively acids and slender, fine tannins that add welcome finesse. A lovely pairing with the grilled leg of lamb. 13,0% abv., thru 2021. recommended

Decanted for sediment (a fair amount, mostly fine), and returned to bottle after 1 hour aeration; served non-blind.

3/25/2015 10:04:00 PM - Thanks Tim nice review. I have one of these 2004's left and find it an underrated bottle.
