91 Points

Saturday, May 25, 2013 - Tasted blind this time. I kew this was italian. Initially wavered between super tuscan and piedmont nebbiolo. My first guess was nebbiolo because this still has quite firm tannins and this time around I got a lot of raisins and spice. As it evolved it became quite classic tuscan Sangiovese. My second guess was early to mid-90's tig. A better showing than last time. At it's best and in the context of Barolo I was contemplating 93 points, but after it revealed it's true colours I settled on 91.
