Thursday, November 23, 2006 - Thanksgiving 2006 (Anchorage): B-E-A-utiful nose of fresh strawberries 'n cream and yeast. Palate was crisp with lemon, berries, and fresh cream. The finish wasn't as clean as the front palate, yet there was a minerality to the finish that added another dimension. The bubbles exploded on the finish, destroying any elegance that was there. Definitely a full bodied, aggressive bottle of bubbles.

Update: on day two, the finish was cleaner, crisper, and more refined. The bubbles felt lighter and smaller on the finish. This could have been due to dirty glasses on day 1, or the finger food that had been presented. My initial score was 79, but after re-tasting it deserves 85+
