Saturday, August 24, 2013 - Dark purple color. Big nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, toasty oak and some chocolate. Similar flavors on the palate. Full bodied with a big mouthfeel of chewy tannins but plenty of fruit to go along with it. Medium acid, medium+ tannins and a nice finish. This wine is drinking well now with a decant but probably could use time in the bottle to develop more secondary flavors.
