Sunday, October 12, 2014 - Bottle 00878. 13.5% alcohol. Ruby core with brick red, orange-tinged rim. Lovely, expressive nose of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, pinot funk and a touch of VA for complexity. The palate is stacked with tart cranberry, raspberry, and rose petals. Structurally, there is tangy acidity in this light-bodied wine as well as a silky mouthfeel. The finish has solid length with cranberry and rose notes. Overall, this is uniquely individualistic with cranberry tanginess, lively acidity, and a light, yet silky, mouthfeel. Nicely done.
