Monday, December 29, 2014 - One of the better bottles of this wine. Decanted, aerated for two hours and drank over another two hours. Deep crimson color, bricking at the rim, massive nose reflecting the terroir and vintage including leather, earth, cassis, blackcurrants fully reflected on the palate. Excellent balance and secondary elements emerging. Full bodied, this is as brawny as a Margaux will get, very good structure, decent complexity and acidity to the wine, good finish with tannins still unresolved, ending on a note of bitter coffee, leather and blackcurrants. My kind of wine. Two more bottles.
