Thursday, February 19, 2015 - Consumed over 2 days (Vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose: Medium expressiveness, dark chocolate covered cherries, blueberry, Christmas fruit cake, sea salt, and violets. Palate: Medium-full bodied, fruit cake and spice on the initial attack, some blue fruit and smokiness appears mid-palate, turns a little gamey in the back-end. Finish: Medium-plus length dominated by gaminess, blue fruit, and spice. While not overly delicious, this Carignan dominated blend offers a rather unique flavor profile that I find very interesting.
