I would suggest philosophicaly that we have all been herded into a corner by the wine industry so that we can only accept or discriminate variations of Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. It is our duty as wine lovers to embrace with an open mind any varietal that isn't one of those two and to shout it to the rooftops if we like it. Examples would be Rioja Bianco, classic white Bordeaux, white Rhone like Condrieu, Aligote from Burgundy......don't sit on the fencewith your opinions: they are as valid as anyone else's.
