Saturday, January 17, 2015 - Only ~1500 bottles produced, very nice boxing and bottle design.
I opened my bottle today and was quite disappointed, comparing this 61 vintage with the 46er. I first noticed, that it was quite fluid albeit its deep brown/black color, compared with the 46er which is much more oily.
Color is deep brown/black with yellow brown streaks and tears in the glass.
Nose was very flat at the beginning, but opened up with time, offering nice, but not overwhelming PX notes.
It has a very high acidity, which feels a bit unintegraded, but blends somehow in after some time in the glass. It lacks some complexity on the mid palate and has a long but not as overwhelming finish as other Toro Albalas I had before.
Therefore I am a bit disapponted because at least this bottle is not a good value for the money.
And as it is PX Sherry it is certain that it won't improve with time :)
