Sunday, November 23, 2008 - Opened two bottles that had been properly cellared since purchase in 1993. Wines were decanted and filtered two hours before they were consumed and both bottles delivered consistent results. The wine was dark ruby, clear with no sign of bricking. A powerful bouquet of ripe dark berries, toasted notes, cedar and tobacco. Concentrated flavors of dark berries, leather, vanilla, and cassis. Very balanced and with soft tannins. This wine is drinking beautifully.
