Sunday, December 7, 2014 - This wine's vintage is the same year my eldest some was born so I bought several cases. I have followed it over several years and it still looks and tastes young. My son had his seventh birthday today and he smelt the wine (not allowed to sip). "Cherries and olive oil" he said.
Mauve semi opaque body. Cherry liqueur. Black currant, blueberries, cafe au lait wet earth and olives. It is close to full bodied and relatively elegant. It is Margaret River in character but also St Estephe. Screw top. Decantered one hour. Riedel glasses. Will he be enjoying this when he is 30? Score 97
