Saturday, April 16, 2016 - Some wines that need an excuse to open (Jims): This was complex and stinky in all the right ways. The color showed some development but was still blood dark and just hints of amber on the edges. The nose was slightly rustic, leather, minty, briery and dusty. In the mouth it was all texture and mass with a long intense finish of smokey fruit. Really lovely aged Cabernet.
