Surprising development! At Batard. Wonderful spicy for a Gevrey, with crunchy cranberry, sweet cherry, lingonberry and mld smoked earth flavors The one is more cherry led acid, but a very good accompaniment to their exceptional food.

Drink up! It's big and bold for a Pinot... Totally mature now, I highly doubt this is going to get better. I wonder what others think of this bottle today. Next time, I'll open it next to the 2003 I have for comparision. Sort of disappointing this time around. I have two left that are now on deck to walk the plank.

Nothing missing here- beautiful if somewhat subdued nose but chock full of dark cherries in the mouth and a long rich finish. The dark color belies a medium weight wine for a Gevrey. With beef stew it was a great match.
