Why I held on to a La Crema for 5 years, not sure. Pleasantly surprised. Berry flavors galore. It lost some depth but very drinkable for the price which I can't even remember. May try this again.

By the glass at the BA lounge NYC . Fresh bottle just off the trolley. Quite a dark rich and sweet nose, unmistakably new world. Rich on the palate , light lactic but dominated but sweet ore of fruit . Not pursue of wine and wewouldstruggle to have more than one glass. One needs to like the style to enjoy his wine. An 87 from us but not a bad wine.

Pretty deep garnet color. Fast legs and a bit on the thin side. The nose is strawberry. It was a bit tight when I first opened. Taste is berry, but no depth. No finish. Maybe better as a summer sipping wine.

Decent entry level Pinot, but no bargain at nearly $20. It needed better than half an hour breathing to open up, but it made it a better. Believe there are better choices in up to this price range, but this is not a bad choice. La Crema entry level wines tend to be very light sippers, and this was no exception. Color was darker than expected, but did not translate into a Pinot with more heft. Really a nice red sipping wine. This is better than the Monterey entry level.

Dinner at Copelands. Great QPR and always consistent. Ripe cherries, minerals, flowers on nose. Palate seamless and refined with solid red fruit profile. Good acidity, decent finish. Not up to my favorite Anderson valley edition, but solid nonetheless.

Delicious. Light purple color. Cherries on the nose. Cherry, cedar flavors. On the light side for a Pinot. Not an especially good value though...I actually think this is just as good as Estancia (which is about $6 cheaper).

North Shore Getaway; 9/15/2011-9/17/2011 (North Shore, MN): Dark ruby red color. Maybe this is a guilty pleasure, but I like this wine alot. Nose has ripe berries, raspberry in particular, spice and damp leaves. The palate caresses nicely with rich berry fruits, spice, cedar, good body and medium finish. This is a consistent performer and good QPR.

Dark and big fruit, but reasonably well integrated and even a bit of acidity. Not my favorite at first sip, but it did grow on me a bit. I won't seek it out, as this isn't really my style and there are Pinots out there in this price range that show much more clean fruit.

A classic Pinot. Light body with a touch of oak and bright fruit and a little acidity from the tannins. Drinking the wine, there were tastes of plum, fig and date. There is a slight aftertaste that is tart/sharp which smoothed out a little by the second glass. This is a very good Pinot, but there are others in the same price range that exceed it.

Solid value Pinot. Good strawberry, cherry and turned earth notes on the nose. Palate is rich in texture, but acids can be slightly out of balance. Finish is moderate and show nice tart cherry, orange peel and plum notes.

Looks more medium bodied than I was expecting, and what I get on palate coincides. Nose is soft fruit. First 30 mins – medium weight almost texture of chocolate milk a little. Some nice dark berry/cherry fruit. A little acid and even less tannin. A little sugar in there which is nice. This is pretty good, and is a pinot with some backbone. I guess this is new world style, and If into that – I would give this a 88-89+ especially given price point - but is a tad steep @ 30$ CAN

PnP. Light Ruby in the glass. Nose of bright red fruits (cherry, raspberry) and spice, with a little barnyard. On the palate, sufficiently complex red fruits, cola, and a little charcoal, along with a not-overbearing creamy oakiness. Finish was medium. Overall, a solid wine, if not terribly exciting.

Bright ruby color with lighter rim. Expressive nose: raspberry tart, Bing cherry, cola, damp leaves, and a little mocha. Medium/lighter body on the palate: bright notes of raspberry, pomegranate, and black cherry fruit accented by mocha, dried purple flowers, and cola. Juicy acidity. Moderate/lighter tannins. Lingering mocha and graphite on the moderate/long finish. Delicious.
