Tons of acid, really overwhelms anything else for me. Really puckered up, not sure if I've ever had such a high acidity wine before. Medium weight and moderate finish, Ended up going well with salad and vinegar based dressing. Maybe a few more years in the cellar will help.
Solid Alsatian Riesling that absolutely pierces the salivary glands with focused and penetrating acidity, yet it wasn’t obnoxious or over bearing as the wine also carried plenty of supporting material in the form of refreshing pear and apple, add some suggestions of cool mint on the finish and I am very happy with this Garagiste $20 white, will be looking for more.
Drank over two nights Excellent wine on first night. Popped and poured. Had great acidity and petrol with that Alsatian something. Second night more filled out and complex with herbs and super long mineral finish yep kept it's balance.
I thought the IWC note was pretty close. Yellow gold color. Not much on the nose - mabye too cold at first. Dry, med weight so seemd to have substance. Some lemon, cantelope-ish flavors. OK finish, a touch puckery vs smooth.
