Light yellow color with medium sized mousse. This sparkling wine is in a great place right now. The nose and palate are packed with Granny Smith Apple, citrus, and minerals. There is crisp acidity that lifts the apple qualities of the wine. Overall, this was a refreshing appertif that delivered everything is expect from an Iron Horse sparkling wine - citrus, apple, and minerals.

Light yellow color, very effervescent. Nose of brioche, citrus, apple and a hint of toasted almonds. Similar flavors on the palate with a clean and crisp mouthfeel and finish but with a touch of lingering creaminess. Drinking very well for an 8 year old sparkler. Still plenty of life left.

Gorgeous straw color. Tight bright bubbles. Light yeasty citrus in the nose with a driveby of strawberry. Bubbly effervescence on the tongue with hints of apple and decided flat lemon blending into a buttery toast with that lemon zest at the end. Returns as nicely as going down too. Delightful.

Quite a pleasant drink here. Palest, almost clear gold, fine bubbles; nose of almond, marzipan, light biscuit; medium-plus acidity, thick mousse, soft fine bubbles, quite persistent; marzipan, citrus cream, toast; medium finish.
Drink now over the next few years. Does not seem to risk fading any time soon.

This was drinking very nice. Started off with lots of bubles, but I actually thought the flavors increased as the bubles decreased. Green apples and yeast are definitely present here, as well as a nutty character and a decent amount of wood.

Dry and well balanced, with aromas and flavors of green apple, pineapple, citrus, and some yeast. Crisp and focused, but lacking depth. Based on my experience with the dropoff in the 2004, don't hold this, drink now until 2014. Paired well with the lightness of walnut-crusted tilapia and bacon-fat pan fried cabbage.

Good example of basic bubblies from Iron Horse, though not the best we've had. Pale yellow color and nicely moving medium-small bubbles. This bottle was a bit sweet for our taste, but still complemented both our food and the decadent chocolate cake we had for dessert.

75/25 Pinot Noir/Chard. Surprisingly Champagne-like. Not a ton of yeast but it's there. Not too sweet. I think it's easy and crisp, nice alternative to more expensive Champagne.

A great value CA sparkler that brings some of the things I most like about Champagne. Yeasty, biscuity, a touch of sweetness but only enough to round out the flavors. Good fruit and acidity but characterized more by its richness.

This is what all Cali chard should aspire to be. Nose of parsley and brightness, nice middle, with a slight vanilla and spice finish that is clean and leaves you ready to drink more.

This was pretty good, nice effervescense with apple, toasted almond, light peach. The mouthfeel had large bubbles with a little edge to it. Easy to drink, consumed quickly.

Ok. Awesome. I know that isn't wine speak, but my wife and I practically guzzled the whole bottle it was so good. Crisp, delicious. Lingering finish. Had with a chorizo pizza. Great match.

Keep forgetting to add notes. Had with pasta with lots of garlic. Happy bubbles. Very faint yeast in the nose but the garlic could be to blame. This vintage is mellowing. Very tart apple blends to a buttery yeast. Sharp aftertaste. Great little bubbly.

Nose: Earth. Taste: Compared with prior tasting, stronger flavors but still relatively short finish. The wine has developed some good nutty/earthy characteristics on the midpalate, while retaining good minerality on the approach. Very nice, benefited from from a year of age.

This was delicious. The nose had some honey, apple/pear, a little toasted almonds. The taste was awesome, nice fine bubbles, no tartness, with a wonderful full bodied (full for a sparkler) wine. Spoke with the owner at a tasting and she said that she uses free run juice for wines, and utilizes gravity flow as much as possible. The attention to detail is very apparent. I'm gonna definitely buy more if I can find it cheaper than what I got this one for.
This was AWESOME with Buffalo Wings.

Best bubbles I have had in a long time. Bread, fruit, acidity. All in harmony. Complexity. Delicious.
