Touch of smoke/matchstick. Fairly subtle, although more characterful than the poor 2008. Perfumed and pretty with a tropical element. I like the grip here and it shows far better intensity, with decent concentration too. Some more smoky notes, good yellow fruit, very attractive.

Borgogna: grande intensità, fiori bianchi, frutta tropicale, burro, sapone. verticale ma molto "largo". In bocca delude un po', mediamente lungo ed intenso. Un rapporto qualità/prezzo comunque eccezzionale.

La Paulée de New York 2011: Ornate metallic, minerally nose screams out of the glass. Like so much Grand Cru I've been lucky enough to try--eg. a Corton Charlemagne's steely streak. A bit yeasty beer on the finish.

This showed with much more mineral cut and acidity despite the vintage. Again a hint of oak but nothing to distract from the fruit.

This showed some unintegrated oak but still wonderfully luscious yet mineral.

Tasted twice; a wine with a perfect bouquet (grassy, creamy) and
luscious midtaste ending with ripe acidity. Enjoy this wine now.

agree with jonathannyc about the metallic/steelyness. Opens up about half an hour in as it warms a bit. fantastic stuff.

Yes! This is young white Burgundy. Well integrated wood. Lovely now and only missing a bit length. Great effort.
