Clean, medium+ - pronounced, developing and complex nose: Ripe apple, spices, pepper and salt, smoky, cassis, cinnamon. Intense, deep and dense. Fantastic! On the palate dry, medium, mild acidity. 13% abv, that makes this wine a little bit hot. Medium body. Very salty and mineral, herbs, few ripe fruits, some apple, some bitterness. Lots of grip, very long, dense and deep. Beautiful wine, that will stay on this level for at least 5+ years. Great experience! 93-94

Salty, intensive, smoky on the nose. Dill mixed with other herbs and spices, a bit of cinnamon, mustard seeds and a bit of ripe apple. Also intensive on the palate althought this St. Nikolaus also shows a certain kind of elegance. The acidity is mild, maybe a bit hot on the back end but that gets better over the evening. Not a lot of fruit on the palate. Long, slightly bitter finish. A lovely wine.
