Light medium ruby color. Present nose of fresh red cherry and strawberry with just a hint of warm oak. Dry, zippy acidity, grippy tannins, fruity palate follows through. Medium body. Ok balance (distinct acid and tannic edges). Medium linear finish. Disappointing for a GC.

Coocked style that I always hate in 09. And this is prieur who loves wood and does wood. Not my wine though I understand those admiring 09 early dring style.

The Verticals Tasting at La Paulée 2015 (Colicchio & Sons, New York): Dark in color. Massive, deep, ripe red fruit and noticeable oak. Very one toned now, clearly modern, but great length and incredible concentration without overextraction. I'm interested to see where this one goes.

At Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant in SF. deep rich ruby. Nose was fabulous, incredible. Silky on the palate, excellent fruit. Clearly a cut above. 4-14-16-8: 92/100.

Grand Tasting 2012 avec 5 membres de la SCO (Carroussel du Louvre, Paris, France): Quelle belle dégustation, voilà un grand Cru de 2009 à la trame droite, loin de la surmaturation, et qui surprend par l'explosion d'arômes végétaux et épicés en bouche (note mentholée ?). Le prix est à l'avenant, mais se gardera t-il si longtemps ? En tous cas ce millésime chaud se goûte déjà vraiment bien en Bourgogne et permet de douter un peu.

Knightsbridge Annual Wildman Burgundy Dinner (Peninsula Hotel - Chicago IL): Charming black fruit with meaty spice that is surprisingly approachable for a just-released Corton. Fruit on the palate is a bit more backward than the wine's aromas, also showing good power and density. Very "2009" in how accessible this is already, with sneaky power and structure that will enable its longevity.

Flowery perfume, soft, quite expressive to drink. Great integration across the palate with fruit and oak. A very well done wine here. And at $200 it should be.

Red fruits, strawberry, flora, medium+ tannin and acidity. Probably just enter drinking window, will benefit for ageing or decanting 1-2 hours.
