Medium gold with a good bit of orange. Bright and clear. Smoky, roasted nuts largely obscure a core of lemon citrus and mineral with burnt pineapple. More lemon drop and orange oil in the mouth, a bit sharp, but decent in length. Beyond its prime, but likeable, although no place to go but down hill, so drink up!

As expected, this wine was well past it's peak. Still an interesting experience, though. Really oxidized, with typical almond nose of a sherry. We ended up drinking this as an aperitif after dinner. Lots of rich nuttiness on the palate, with some good acidity and still some tannins on the finish.
