Muted nose on initial PnP. Open up nicely after about 30 minutes of air time. Cherry, strawberry, licorice. Fine, lightly dusted tannins. Elegant wine. Great entry level burg.

Second time with this wine. Lovely volume and texture to the dark red and slightly blue fruits, tossing in a whiff of flint. Finishes long and balanced. Drinking nicely now, but will still be good (I think) in 5 years.

Decanted for an hour. Not explosive on the nose, but what's there is quite alluring. Dark pinot fruit, hints of perfume, resin and a musk funk. On the palate, easy drinking. Not a ton of structure. Generally agree with Burghound re: start drinking it 2017 with two caveats. First, it's quite pleasant now. Second, while probably better in 2017 (or even 2016), I don't perceive the bones for extended aging. I think the peak is a year or two off, but might be rather short, at least for my tastes. FWIW. Good QPR at $25. A nice change of pace for me, given a cellar that trends more heavily to domestic pinot.

Medium ruby color, very clear. Restrained nose of cherry skin, wet rocks, and slight oak. Beautifully balanced between acidity and richness, broad on the palate, long on the finish. Cherry and slight red raspberry. Pleasant dusting of tannin on the finish. Really enjoyed this, and as Burgundy goes, a fantastic value.

Ruby colour with violet rim. Not much fruitiness shown on nose. Mainly licorice, mints and herbs. Light but vivid raspberry and sour berry taste. Good acidity. The texture was quite solid with notable tannin at finish. Not much oak influence. Very traditional. Serious and inward style. Drink well now.

Wow, these are the real deal. Great qpr for a $25 red burg. Lovely fruit, earth, underbrush and semi exotic spice. Very well balanced and a bit creamy in a very good way. Drinking very well with no decant. Love it.

Medium red color. Aromas of red fruits, underbrush and wood spices. Medium-bodied, ripe fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length and well-integrated tannins. Surprisingly suave and sophisticated for such a young wine from this region. Excellent value!

P&PED. Yum! Nice light color, very aromatic with sweet spices and great on palate in a very subdued way that only the vignerons of Bourgogne can produce. Very pure and a great match with Zuni Cafe's roasted chicken.

A touch more closed and less silky than the 8/24/13 bottle.
