Broken Wings and New Things (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light medium gold color. Small glass, from 500ml. Sweet apricot nose, honey butter, caramel. The palate is full bodied, sweet, less acid, unctuous, ripe baked apricot, very sappy, flabby, but tasty. 89 to 90pts.

Peach, apricot, orange oil & clove on the come-hither nose. Sweet & concentrated but juicy rather than thick, with bracing acidity & a saline quality leavening the exotic orange, pineapple & tangy apricot fruit flavors. Slightly high-toned but very pure, penetrating & light on its feet--& long on the aftertaste. Enormously sweet, like apricot liqueur, tangerine jam & honeyed iced tea, w/ all kinds of spicy, buttery notes.

Peach stone, apricot, honey, and minerals make up the nose of this wine. Lots of yummy residual sugar on the palate - sweet; yet, not overbearing with a slightly tart finish. Excellent!

Second Sunday Group: Older California Pinots (Barb's): Aromas of orange blossoms, cotton candy, florals, peach and lemonheads. Rich texture with flavors of lemon, honey and citrus candy. Racy and light; delicious.

Made from artificially frozen grapes, the wine is a little bit lighter and less concentrated comparing to its counterparts in German and Canada on the nose, a lot of peach and apricot with a hint of vanilla, however, on the palate it shows a beautifully made "Ice Wine" with deep and dense honey, apricot, fully riped gina apple, and lingering acidity that goes on a on for quite a while, very impressed with the quality of this wine, especially at that price point.

Have to admit that this wine was called into duty when guests requested a sweeter wine...but not a desert wine. So I mixed with some nice Martinelli Chard and she loved it. She loved it so much if fact she wanted name of it!

Similar notes to the winery tasting, although this time we drank the bottle indoors and chilled. Good, but there just isn't enough acidity to offset the high sweetness. Paired very well with blueberry cobbler.

100% Scheurebe (estate fruit). Golden color. Nose of apricot and peach. Tastes of melon, apple, lemon, and orange blossom. Well balanced with some acidity. Some complexity on the rich finish.

Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties): Tasted at Winery. Golden in color, with a nose of peaches and a little orange. Flavors of smooth and creamy peach with a fuller body than I would expect for a sweet wine (granted this is my first ice wine). I would imagine this would be an excellent pairing with peach cobbler. The finish was long without being too sweet or thick. Impressive. Don't wait too long to drink this one!

This is our favorite dessert wine. As another reviewer said, serve it well below wine cellar temperature.

Sweet and delicious. Must drink at 55 degrees for crispness. Nice with grilled fruit for dessert.
