I can't say I'm always in the mood for it (I don't own any Cali SB, only from France), but when I am, it's damn hard to beat the value and quality in the Honig bottling. Fresh, nearly medium bodied, with snappy aromas of gooseberry, freshly cut grass, lemon bars, white pepper and seashells. Reliable, clean and fresh. recommended, drink thru 2014
Been over a year since the first bottle, and now 6 to 8 bottles later this is still my favorite Cali Sauv Blanc. More herbs and spice tonight with an orange twist.

Blend per Honig's Website: 96.2% Sauvignon Blanc, 0.6% Muscat and 3.2% Semillon. Nose of Honeydew melon, lemon grass, with menthol/herbal note. Nice crisp, juicy finish. For the price, a great deal.

For the price this is one of the best Sauvingnon Blancs for the money out there. This is a pale yellow crisp summer pleaser that brings out great citrus notes with just the right amount of acid. If you ever need a go to Sauvingnon Blanc this is it!

Consistent with my previous and other member notes. Purchased more recently at 25% sale and heard recently from Honig that 2010 is almost gone. Looking foward to the 2011.

Full and bright with melon, herb, lime, and a hint of lees on the nose, this is medium to medium+ bodied on the palate, with medium acid, and bright fruit and lees flavors.

Fairly expressive citrus and grassy nose. Medium bodied with lemon, grapefruit and a slight grass note. Nice balance between the acidity and a little creamy mid palate.

As always, Honig makes wonderful wine. Used a little for cooking chicken picatta and drank the rest. Very refreshing, well-rounded, crisp, grassy. Not too tart and unlike a lot of sauv blancs, it doesn't make me feel drowsy. Love the new bottles, too!

Loaded with pear fruit and quite a bit of cat pee too. Mouthwatering aromas. A little creaminess on the palate too. Suggests a small amount of barrel ferment. A little prickle on the palate. Peaches and cream all the way. Mmm.

Light straw color. Bright aromas of melon and lemon/lime citrus, balanced with a pleasant rocky minerality. Pretty and opulent tropical and citrus fruit on the palate, with sharp acidity and a slight creaminess. Closes with subtle sweet spice notes and medium length fruit. Very nice.

I m not much of a white wine drinker, but this summer's heat is unbearable! Anyway, this is very refreshing with a hint of peach and pear. Very refreshing.

Enjoyed over two days and it held up well. Very refreshing chilled, with lime and some peach on the nose. Dry on tasting with lime and a floral peach. This will be great thru the summer. Even people who don't enjoy NZ Sauvignon Blanc will enjoy this.

More oak like a Chardonnay with not as much fruit notes as many other Sauvignons.
