Showed really well. ever so slight bricking at the rim but only noticing the age in the way that the oak has smoothly integrated. Lots of ripe fruit, black olive, and white pepper meaty goodness overlying some oak spice that rounds things out nicely. Plump tannins but in no way flabby. Day 3 was still performing really well. in a great place now and should hang out here for at least a few more years I would guess.

Tuesday Night Double Blind $50+: Darker core with brighter rim; loads of creamy oak, graham cracker; intense cherry, plush but structured, good core of fruit and showing rather youthful.

Guigal New Releases including 2012 LaLas: Blind, picked the wine but missed the vintage. A nose of herbs, violet and plums. Good structure, the acidity gives it quite a kick. Nicely balanced between the freshness of the fruit and the acidity along with the structure of the wine. Very youthful and a few more years definitely shouldn't harm it.

Clear, deep purple in color, medium (+) intensity exhibiting youthful aromas of black currant, black raspberry, blueberry, violet, black pepper, liquorice, smoke and tobacco . Dry, with medium levels of acidity and alcohol; muted flavors of aforementioned fruit are presented alongside meaty, earthy elements . Medium bodied, with soft, chewey tannins. This took several hours to unwind but once there provided an extremely plush and supple feel on the palate. Nice lengthy finish. Should drink well for several years.

Elegantly rustic in nature, yet youthful and fruitful. Nice complexity, evolving with time in the glass. Dark berries, herbs, smoky and earthy notes.
