Very good wine. I haven't had previous experience with white piemont wines and I liked it a lot! Elegant, balanced, a hint of mineral and floral, good acidity. Little harsh finish, but a good wine. Paired a asparagus and brie risotto!

Served in the middle of some powerful reds, this was a great change of pace and turned out to be a perfect palate cleanser before moved on; good acidity; stone fruit and citrus especially grapefruit make up the fruit profile.

Taste: Light bodied with medium acidity. There is a roundness to the tones of white fruits, peaches, and sea shells.
Overall: This still had some zip to it, but the acidity was starting to lack. It was a very nice arneis with good balance to it on both the nose and palate.

Book Club - Italian Night (Bar Sugo): Pale yellow. Flowers, apple and pear on the nose. Good acidity and a hint of minerality. Medium finish. Really very enjoyable. Did not do much for the bland tuna crudo it was paired with and might do better against something with a little kick. (4+13+17+7)

This remains our favorite wine with lightly spiced seafood. It has enough acidity to match up to the bit of the food being consumed. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a palate cleanser or just an afternoon sipper.

Light golden color. Floral notes, counterbalanced with citrus fruit and some minerality give the nose a nice complexity. The palate is firm with flavor and acidity in balanced proportions. This wine is assertive enough to have its own character, but versatile enough to pair well with a number of dishes, particularly those on the richer or creamier side. A really pleasant Roero, well made and expressing itself honestly right now.

Lys gul, svakt gyllen. 89/90 P.

Bright nose and taste, dry with a complex acid structure, little fruit. Very pleasant to drink, although perhaps a bit too assertive for some tastes. Well made wine with considerable character, but not especially impressive.

Dalla Terra Seminar; 3/18/2012-3/20/2012 (Milwaukee Athletic Club): Vietti was the first winery to bottle Arneis, in 1963. Followed by Chereto and Giacosa. Prior it was just sold by growers in barrel? Assist. Alfredo Curado on to Luca Curado. Bright and fresh, no oak. A touch of frizzante. Part of me was second guessing if this and the '10 Inama got switched out, but this was a much less flowery Arneis than previous.

Pleasant medium bodied Arneis that pared well with the chicken and fish dishes that accompanied it. Good food wine. Nice mouth feel, fruity but clean, dry finish. I liked the freshness of this wine - light on its feet with acids playing around the sides of the mouth, but not too much so that it couldn't blend in with what we were eating. Not a serious wine by any means but then at around $18 a bottle it shouldn't be expected.......

Pours pale yellow with a brisk nose featuring lemon meringue, green apple, vanilla bean, white flowers. It's like vanilla custard and lemon meringue at a wedding, perfume, green stonefruit and apples, white peaches. The wine is full on the tongue with awesome acid on the finish creating a beautiful balance. It just dances like a vibrant cheerleader on my tongue. Totally cool wine.

Following a corked J Swan Marsanne...light gold...green apples, graham cracker, asian pear, honeysuckle, bright and crisp is what the wine hints at...on the palate, a slight spritz that is quite refreshing especially when very cold, tropical, sweet fruit, then the green apple appears on the palate. Very refreshing, don't think about it, go with it, fun, drink.

The nose showed white flowers, a spritz of lime and hints of almond extract. On the palate, I found sweet pear and green apple with crisp acidity that made this wonderfully refreshing. The finish was fresh and light with a bitter hint as it faded away. This is a great white for summer sipping, with a Primavera sauce or white risotto.

Very tasty, full power Arneis. With some skin contact maybe to punch it up? Or its just youthful and needing a stretch of time to soften up. Delightful at $24.
