I didn't think that I would save this wine this long. It's a bet for me. It came out really well, thanks to my cellar. The wine still have nice color with good aroma. Little tannin with taste of dry prum that give quite a long finish.

Opened this two hours early as part of 10 bottles blind for Xmas eve dinner. Super light plum nose. High acidity still there. Tannins and fruit muted. I thought it was a younger Pinot in the blind taste. If you still have this drink it now as it’s headed downhill. Good value for sure.

This one is much better right on the pop-n-pour than my notes on the previous bottle. Layers of cherries right off the bat, with some nice earthiness underneath. Soft on the back end, just a touch of heat showing. Very nice. CT seems to indicate end of drinking window. I won't tarry on my final bottle, but the one I just opened is still in a fine spot.

Well, it wasn't inspiring on first sip. But then I got distracted cooking dinner, and came back for another sip ... and it had really opened up. Plenty of cherry cola, perhaps some pomegranate, a bit of glycerin, smooth integrated finish, maybe just a touch of heat poking through on the back end. Solid value at this price point. There's no reason to think it's in decline, but I don't see it evolving much ... will drink my other bottles within the year.

On opening, there was a bit of sour cherry cola, but with even a little air this turned bitter and stemmy. I'll let this sit 24 hours to see if it changes, but I had to open another bottle to drink with dinner. Did not age well.

Enjoyed with spicy-rubbed baked salmon. Full bodied for a Pinot Noir. Needed 1/2 hour aeration time to fully open up. Some complexity of flavors, not just cherry, but also some currant, strawberry and blackberry.

Medium to light garnet in colour and medium+ intense nose.
Positives: A typical California Pinot, in a good way, featuring pine, cherry, strawberry, rhubarb, cinnamon, pomegranate and an underlying note of smoke reminiscent of autumn leaves on an open fire. Medium to medium minus body, light tannins, medium+ acidity and a long length.
Negatives: None
Interesting Point: Remember to slightly chill a Pinot.
Drink now or over the next 4 years on its own or pair it with peppercorn glazed pork pâte.
Tasted: 13 April 13

Almost-deep ruby in the glass. Nose of cinnamon, wood, and sour cherries. Light on tannins and not quite medium bodied; medium acidity. A bit tart, which in a half appealing way; but also a little bitter. Flavours don't fully transfer from the nose to the mouth. Appealing in its own way, though. Medium length with again a bit of a bitter/smoky finish.

This is a never disappoint Pinot. In our opinion for the price this pinot lays the smack down. Fruit is balanced. Easy lovely liquid love for under 20 bucks! Verging on a paramount rating of Triple Yum yum yum! If We weren't over legal drinking limit we would go to store and buy STAT!

Medium purple. Aromas of ripe strawberry as well as darker fruit (blueberry pie), and more oak than I expected, almost cedar-ish. Light-medium body, flavors of tart cherry, cranberry, more toasty oak with low-medium acidity and medium tannin. Nothing outstanding, but definitely a solid PN for ~$20.

I give this one a 90. It is a very nice Pinot. Starts out great, with a simple, yet elegant opening that is typical Pinot. Nice candied fruit, some cherry. It finishes off with some heat on the palate. This wine will show well over the next 1-2 years.

Medium-light. Cherry, plum, tand cola, with a nice bit of a sour note. Not great, but pretty good fo $20. Would be better if, but the finish is a little lacking.

Nose is cherry, tobacco, oak, vanilla, and herb. Flavors follow the nose with the addition of heavy minerality; especially on the finish. Medium bodied and overall well balanced. The minerality ends up being a bit more than our taste would desire, and therefore we couldn't give it as high a rating as otherwise might be the case.

Not showing as well as previously, which I'm sure is due to palate drift as much as anything else. But this time around, it's a bit flabby, with weaker upfront flavor that doesn't make up for the rapidly vanishing finish. Still a very good value at this price, but could have more going on.

Starts off strong: beautiful, rich aroma of vanilla, cassia, black cherry and tobacco; strong cherry, cola and faint cocoa at the front of the palate. As strongly as it starts, it doesn't finish as well. Moderate acidity quickly fades away, with little lingering flavor. A stronger finish would have made this a much stronger wine, but it's enjoyable nonetheless and is an excellent value at the price.

Nose is dominated by medicinal notes that are not that pleasant. Candied ripe fruit on the palate which is not too bad if that's what you're looking for. Pretty silky in texture, a touch of heat, and those medicinal notes come back on the finish. Some decent elements to this wine, but not good enough to keep coming back for more.

Garnet robe, with ruby rim. Firm, vibrant, and dense, this Pinot exhibits a loamy and earthy edge to the cherry, raspberry, and black plum profile. Cola, vanilla, spices, a tangy kick of acidity, and an appealing mocha-inflected finish round out the palate. There is a wonderful spice that lingers, giving lift to the fruit, and bringing the whole package together. This is balanced, structured, delicious, and a lot of wine for the money ($18).

Too one dimensional for me. The nose reveals subtle hints of cherry and vanilla. The mouthfeel is the same, with no other noticable characteristics other than the fruit. The finish was short and unmemorable. Purchased for $19.99 at Kreston's in Wilmington, DE, I was hoping for a good QPR from a single vineyard in an area that I've visited and enjoyed some very good CA Pinots. This bottle didn't meet my expectations.

Medium red color. Pop and pour, drank over 2 days. Nose is fairly nice with cherries, raspberry, vanilla, dry spices, but with a green undertone of stems. The palate shows medium light body, tart cherry and red berries, somwhat dry tannins and sharp finish. Perhaps some bottle age will soften this a bit, but i am not so sure the stemminess will dissipate any.

Decanted 90 mins. ahead. Medium ruby color with a bit of orange. The nose leads with musky aromas, followed by baking spices, cherries, and strawberries. Medium-light on the palate, with good acid balance, lively but not grippy. Finishes a bit quickly with orange peel and very light tannins. The animal aromas of musk and wet fur are something of a problem here; maybe it's just this bottle. I have another one and will try that soon. In any case it's drinkable for sure, but I have to say that I hoped for more.

Fresh fruit aromas are complimented by a very light and fruity palate of fresh cranberry and strawberry flavors. This wine was wonderful by itself, and paired quite well with turkey meatballs, cranberry sauce, and steamed carrots. Great Pinot Noir for the price that I will definitely purchase again.

Nice fruit forward Pinot. Dark raspberry fruit dominates. A hint of complexity creeps in on a pleasant medium finish.

Vanilla, cinnamon very light, fruity; strawberry and cranberry... Worth ordering but not worth the price at the local spirits store

Fruit forward. A go to wine for the price. Enjoy.

Fresh fruit aromas are complimented by a very light and fruity palate of fresh cranberry and strawberry flavors. This wine was wonderful by itself, and paired quite well with turkey meatballs, cranberry sauce, and steamed carrots. Great Pinot Noir for the price that I will definitely purchase again.

cellar clean-up. This was just ok at dinner. Showed better at a walk-around tasting
