Still drinking nicely as we struggle with DeLillw. Prices up and age-ability of wines less. Production also heading to 40k + cases. This from some who has taste their original release.

October 13, 2021. Randys 65 birthday with Pat, Wally and Aline at Daniels Broiler. Drank from Bin south 22. Lovely gentle spice with leather and touch of vanilla blackberry on nose. Deep dark purple. Full body touch of acid long chewy with lingering cherry and chalk. 10/10.

Enjoyable, but not at its best. Of all tasted this was the closest to being balanced with tannins dominating the fruit and acids, but not objectionably so. As with the others - drink them now

Beautiful black cherry color with fragrant cherry and cedar nose. Prominent cherry flavors, with hints of graphite. Rather long finish. Very Bordeaux-like, with good balance. In a really nice spot right now. Should hold for a few years but I’m not sure it will improve all that much.

Friends opened this after their 6/29/19 steamed clam dinner. It had a deep, rich nose of violet, cassis, mocha, cocoa, vanilla, licorice and spice aromas. The palate was rich and layered with flavors that followed the nose.

Noticed a little bricking color as I decanted, light sediment at the end. Nose not pronounced. Very smooth, with persistent mid-range fruit. Excellent with the ribeyes.

Nose: black cherries, blackberries, graphite and big cola. Smoke. Hint of iodine. Violets. Orange zest. Palate: Medium body, medium plus acidity. Dense, grainy tannins. Nice, sweet black cherries, raspberries, and blackberries. Strong cola and graphite, smoke and cigar tobacco. Licorice and cassis. Finish: the tannins take over quick, drying the mouth. The smoke and licorice really turn up here. This is yet another Harrison Hill that is a pure expression of the site and a very complete wine. The sum of its parts are a brilliant construct of its parts. Decanted nearly 4 hours and still tight, this could use another 2-3 years when I believe it'll light up the room.

Very nice wine...Medium body very nice balance, I think it could easily develop some more character and depth hence giving it a higher score. Time will tell, but very nicely made.

Old vines and higher proportions of Cab franc and merlot give this a relatively light ruby color. Overall impression that this is the most Bordeaux -style of the range I tasted, but still having archetypal washington ripe, rounded fruit and soft leather tannins. Elegant structure, long finish. Personal prejuduce will tell you whether you prefer this or the Chaleur

Some friends and I tasted this at the Woodinville tasting room on 2/11/12. It had a rich and ripe bouquet of black currant, black cherry, mocha, coffee and spice aromas. The palate was rich and ripe with good structure and flavors that followed the nose.

Dark amd chewy. Real earthy then gives way to currants and plums.

Big, smooth and lush, for WA. Not as available as the big Napa cabs, but great complexity.
