Really dynamic nose - wild strawberry, blackberry, espresso, and lots of spice. Flavors are consistent with nose. Smooth, velvety, perfect tannin integration. Acid is perfect to keep the wine balanced and tense. This is ready to drink now, but may evolve even more over the next 5 years.

While not as fruit- laden or sophisticated as a top Vosne, this was just the perfect late Fall sophisticated accomplishment to a nice poultry or lamb dinner. Forward drier strains of strawberry, lingonberry and rasperry on the first touch of the palate, with peat, , smoke and bramble hints on the tongue. A very nicely defined version of what a great vintage turns out when properly aged. Having said that, it is on the right shoulder and needs to be consumed forthwith.
