Fruity, as you would expect. I get quite a bit of alcohol heat on the mouth and it would be generous to say it's pepper/spice. Keep very cool and it does take the edge off. Decant well. Notes of earth, mineral and nice oak influence with a long finish.

Winebid special, and well worth the small price of admission. Day 1, this was pretty tightly wound. Nose was solid with blueberries, pepper, and allspice, but not a ton on the palate.
Day 2, this is better all around. Flavors have fleshed out and there's a good integration of the blue fruits, spice, and acidity. Medium + body and the aromatics are still strong.
I probably prefer what Mike O does with his vineyard but this was a very enjoyable wine that I'm glad I had the pleasure of trying. Drink over the next 2 years

A very nice zin. Nose was sweet berries and some coffee. Taste was sweet cherry and mild green pepper and some coffee. Very smooth with polished tannins.

Popped and poured. Deep crimson color. Red fruits and spice on nose. Full bodied but with bright predominately red fruits on palate. Some spiciness on medium length finish. Firm tannins are there but not overpowering. Nevertheless a short decant would have been beneficial I'm sure. Great acidity. This wine would go well with a lot of food and with the combination of tannins and acidity I think it would age quite a bit longer as well.

Lush, fleshy Zin but with good varietal character and lively spice when popped and poured. Used vac-u-vin and placed half of bottle in cellar after night one. Night two even better. Extremely balanced and layered fruit. A really nice wine. Much better than first bottle opened approximately 6 months ago.

15+% alcohol, but it wears it very well -- not hot at all. Just tons of black cherry wrapped inside cocoa and cedar. Not as spicy as some other zins, much more smooth around the edges. An enjoyable example of Cali fruit.

Tasted at the winery. Creamy blackberry and spice on the nose. More restrained style zin with blackberries and cherries. Holds its alcohol well. Great zin.

This has not improved, similar notes as prior tasting and the alcohol heat is more pronounced.
