This was the third of 3 whites and I liked it the least. Funky at first, but it sorted itself out and there was some lemon lime lurking, but too much oak with a metallic finish. Was totally outclassed by a 2011 Ceritas Porter Bass and a 2004 Fevre Les Clos.

Tasted at the 1965-1992 Ridge retrospective as a pre tasting white. No Monte Bello chardonnay in 2009 so all the Monte Bello fruit went into the Estate wine. Color is pale gold. Suttle butter notes along with some apple and lemon. Creamy texture and finishes off with a vanilla taste on the palette. While drinking well now, it will hold for several more years. Tasted two days later with similar notes.

Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of vanilla, talc, yellow pear and yellow apple. Flavors of cream, vanilla, yellow pear and lemon curd. Medium acidity, full bodied Drink or hold.

Opened and consumed first 2/3 - Nose was light and crisp with floral notes. Well integrated flavors with stone fruit and lemon curd - without getting oakey or heavy. Nice acidity on the finish.
Consumed remainaing 1/3 a week later!... it actually held up well with just refrigeration. Nice fresh afternoon treat.

This is lovely, with just the right amount of oak, minerals, acidity and unctuosity. Drinking well now, but likely has room to improve over the new few years.

Lovely restrained oak and bright yellow apples, peach and some lime zest. The palate is lovely and quite acidic. Not at all flabby. Really nice mouth feel and a great finish.

Ridge Monte Bello Cabernet Day Library Tasting: Pale lemon yellow color with tropical fruit, and peach aromas. On the palate medium-bodied, with vivid tropical, fruit, and vanilla spice flavors. Surprisingly long finish. Had I not had to save myself for the #Cabernet Day tasting...I would have definitely finished my glass. It was a warm day at Monte Bello and this was a flat out refreshing Chard.
