1/14/06: garnet rim, a little spice and rose petal w/ black fruit nose, medium body and length, a little rustic w/ classic mid-80's Cal fruit. Held well for an hour.

Tasting of 9 wines with Bruce Cass, Matt and Karla sold the Cutting Board, and it quickly faded from the wine scene in Walnut Creek. Flight C wine 3. Had an orange color on the edges in the glass, nose had a hint of acid and great fruit, a mouthful of big fruity flavors burst open and both forward and ready, long finish and fantastic aftertaste.

Unfortunately this 1985 Cab had nothing left as there was no fruit & had a bad taste. Threw out, could not drink.

Slightly herbal, rich, cabernet nose, very rich, viscous, almost mouth coating fruit, chocolate in the mouth and finish and aftertaste.

Tasting of 8 1985 Cabernet Sauvignons.
Seemed difficult to judge.
My #6 of 8.
