  • Popped & poured, tasted over two days. The wine offered red and dark berries, vegetal and earthy notes, mint, chocolate, tea, spices, cinnamon, smoke and gasoline on the nose. On the palate the wine showed red and dark berries, vegetal notes, some mint, chocolate, coffee, spices, clove, some vanilla and smoke, paired with medium-plus lively, slightly tart acidity, medium-plus tannin, some heat from the alcohol and very good length of the slightly bitter finish. A good, full-bodied, rustic, very smoky Pinotage. Not exactly a crowd pleaser though and for once we did not finish the bottle.
